On Wednesday, a high-level meeting was held between the SSB, Ranidanga, Siliguri, DIG Sector Headquarters SSB, Gangtok and Nepal Sentinel in Ranidanga. In this, various aspects of strict vigil on the border and rein in crime were discussed. At the same time, the meeting emphasized the strengthening of relations between the two countries. Senior officials of SSB and APF Nepal joined today’s meeting.
At the meeting, there was a consensus on the security of the border and providing information to each other between the two countries. Special emphasis was placed on facilitating movement of travelers on the check posts in the festival season. As well as keeping the border safe, emphasis was given to restrain illegal activities and increase mutual cooperation.
According to information received by SSB officials, it has been decided to organize a bilateral meeting between the two countries in 3 months. Officials of the SSB thanked the team that came from Nepal. Officials said that the relationship between India and Nepal is already very strong. The emphasis is on strengthening it. Common efforts will be made to maintain peace in the region.
